Games & Projects

The Adventures on Uranus was the first game that I developed (2019-2020). It is a pretty basic adventure game: some cool graphics, limited map and gameplay, with a fun twist if the player finds the hidden surprise. I created the game using Unreal Engine 4. This project taught me a lot about what it takes to make a game from start to finish. I published the game on Steam in 2020 and it has been downloaded by about 500 people. Superhero Game (working title) is a yet-to-be-finished FPS game that I created with a private computer science game dev coach (2021-2023). The game was created primarily in Unreal Engine 4 and 5, and we also used other development tools where needed, such as World Machine and Blender. Superhero Game was significantly more complex than any other project that I’ve worked on to-date.

From this experience, I learned the basics of game design, including vectors, textures, lighting, meshes, landscapes, crowdgen and combat. I also learned how important persistence is, as I needed to overcome many obstacles, including hardware challenges, throughout this process.

In Summer 2023, development of Superhero Game was put on hold as I began a video game internship at a start-up game studio.
